scope:
PURPOSE
This John C. Stennis Space Center (SSC) standard (SSTD) establishes the material, format, uniform method of assigning identification numbers, construction of the conduit identification plates, and methods of mounting the identification plate to conduits to the following systems:
a. All technical systems conduit
b. All facility systems conduit interfacing with the staging contractor
c. All facility systems conduit carrying electrical power at 480 volts and above.
NOTE:
This standard applies to all newly installed conduit and to the replacement of existing conduit identification plates. This SSTD does not apply to existing conduit identification plates which are in good condition but have a different material, format or method of mounting.
APPLICIBILITY
This SSTD applies to all SSC NASA organizations, resident agencies, contractors and subcontractors involved with the construction, mounting and use of the plate, conduit identification system.
