DSF/FprEN 61755-2-1

Fibre optic interconnecting devices and passive components - Fibre optic connector optical interfaces -- Part 2-1: Connection of non-dispersion shifted single mode non-angled physically contacting fibres

pending
Organization: DS
Status: pending
Page Count: 12
scope:

This part of IEC 61755 defines a set of prescribed conditions for a single mode fibre optic connection that should be maintained in order to satisfy the requirements of attenuation and return loss performance in a randomly mated pair of non-angled polished fibres. The model uses a Gaussian distribution of light intensity over the specified mode f ield diameter (MFD) for determination of attenuation performance grades. Attenuation and return loss performance grades are defined in IEC 61755-1.
