Aim. The purpose of NATO's Host-Nation Support (HNS) concept is to provide effective support to NATO military activities and to achieve efficiencies and economies of scale through the best use of a host nation's available resources. This concept has always to be interpreted in accordance with the NATO Strategic Concept.
