This specification covers a hydraulically driven material spreader for spreading sand and aggregates or abrasive materials on road surfaces.
Spreaders shall be of the following types, as specified (see 6.2).
Type I - Truck Chassis Mounted. Type II - Dump Body Mounted.
intended Use:
The spreader covered by this specification is intended for spreading salt, aggregates, and other materials on highways, streets, runways, or construction sites.
