This standard specifies requirements for Polyethylene terephthalate, chopped fibre, Type QX for use in explosives.

The designation "Type QX" indicates that the material is suitable for certain applications where a high degree of compatibility with explosives is a requirement. However, compatibility with all explosives in all environments has not been established and Design Authorities should seek advice on particular applications.
