This NES provides a guide to the design of steam pipework systems. It reviews the procedures for static and dynamic stress analyses and the interpretation of their results. It contains the preferred methods for sizing and supplying the pipework, making full use of existing design codes.
It also provides definitive guidance on steam pipework corrosion assessment in HM Ships and Submarines so that maintenance and refit auth-orities can determine the minimum allowable material conditions of steam pipework acceptability for further service
