This Air Force Instruction (AFI) implements Air Force Policy Directive 32-70, Environmental Quality. It provides guidance and procedures for executing the Air Force Environmental Restoration Program, referred to as the cleanup program. This AFI implements the Defense Environmental Restoration Program (DERP), as outlined in Department of Defense (DOD) Instruction DoDI 4715.7, Environmental Restoration Program, 22 April 1996 as supplemented by DOD DERP Management Guidance, 17 March 1998.
