scope:

Purpose. a. This regulation establishes policies and assigns responsibilities for the maintenance of Army materiel. It provides and defines requirements for performance and management of the materiel maintenance function. It concerns unit, direct support (DS), general support (GS), and depot levels of the Army maintenance system and Army-wide program and commodity-unique maintenance.

Applicability. This regulation applies to the Active Army, the Army National Guard of the United States/Army National Guard, and the U.S. Army Reserve. This regulation is applicable during full mobilization.
