scope:

This Defence Standard relates to the packaging of assembled open and shielded ball and roller bearings, and the component parts of such bearings supplied as spares or dismantled.

This Standard relates to the following categories of Military Level packaging: Levels J, K, L, N, Primary Restricted, .and Full Standard requirements, in accordance with Def Stan 81-41.

NOTE: This Standard does not cover the packaging of miniature and instrument precision bearings of less than 27 mm outside diameter, or to bearings with plastic cages.
