scope:
This standard specifies requirements for one grade of a corrosion preventive, weapon cleaner, possessing light lubricating properties, primarily for use in cleaning the internal surfaces of barrels and breeches of ordnance of calibre above 30 mm, over the ambient temperature range of minus 40 ºC to 50 ºC. PX-36 may also be used in other applications, subject to the prior agreement of the relevant Service/Design Authority.
