This Standard specifies the dimensions and marking requirements for coach screws intended for use in timber structures in IS0 preferred series diameters from 6 mm to 20 mm inclusive and lengths up to 200 mm, and with IS0 hexagon heads and either full body or reduced diameter shanks, and the material requirements for steel coach screws.
This Standard does not specify requirements for products
requiring special properties, such as weldability or
corrosion-resistance
