scope:
Applicability.
This regulation applies to the Active Army (AA), the Army National Guard (ARNG)/Army National Guard of the United States (ARNGUS), and the U.S. Army Reserve. During mobilization, the proponent may modify chapters and policies contained in this regulation. Chapters 6 and 7 and Appendixes E and F apply to Army National Guard Soldiers when on active duty Title 10, for 30 days or more, and in all other cases, Army National Guard Soldiers are governed by NGR 600-21, Equal Opportunity Program in the Army National Guard, and NGR 600-22, National Guard Military Discrimination Complaint System. Portions of this regulation that proscribe specific conduct are punitive and violations of these provisions may subject offenders to nonjudicial or judicial action under the Uniform Code of Military Justice. The equal opportunity terms found in the glossary are applicable only to uniformed personnel. AR 690-600, Equal Employment Opportunity Discrimination Complaints, contains similar terms that are applicable to DA civilians.
Purpose
This regulation prescribes the policies and responsibilities of command, which include the well-being of the force, military discipline and conduct, the Army Equal Opportunity Program, and the Army Sexual Assault Victim Program.
