scope:
Purpose.
This regulation prescribes the policies and responsibilities of command, which include military discipline and conduct, and the Army Equal Opportunity Program.
Applicability. This regulation applies to the Active Army (AA), the Army National Guard (ARNG)/Army National Guard of the United States (ARNGUS), as modified by National Guard Regulations 600-21,600-100, 600-101, and 600-200, and the U.S. Army Reserve (USAR). Unless specifically addressed by conflicting contractual or statutory and regulatory standards or policies, this regulation also applies to Department of the Army Civilian employees. This regulation is application during full mobilization. Portions of this regulation which prescribe specific conduct are punitive and violations of these provisions may subject offenders to nonjudicial or judicial action under the Uniform Code of Military Justice (UCMJ). The equal opportunity terms found in the glossary are applicable only to uniformed personnel. AR 690-600 contains similar terms which are applicable to DA civilians.
