1 Scope
This material specification covers the requirements for sheet steel base metals that are subsequently zinc coated (galvanized and galvannealed) by the continuous hot dip process. The sheet steel base metal may be either cold or hot rolled low carbon, rephosphorized, solid solution strengthened, bake-hardenable, or high strength low alloy steels, Additional requirements or agreements shall be specified by the local business units (e.g., NAO, Opel ITDC, GM do Brazil, Holden Ltd., etc.).
