Scope and object
This standard is applicable to electric traction overhead lines (in accordance with the definition given in Sub-clause 1.2.1) for railways, tramways and trolleybuses.
It is not applicable to feeders remote from the track.
It is recommended that these provisions should be applied to electric traction overhead lines of new construction or when complete transformation of existing lines takes place.
In the absence of national regulations or standards, this standard shall be complied with.
Object
The purpose of this standard i s to stipulate the provisions for the design and construction of the lines indicated in Sub-clause 1.1.1.
