scope:
This Standard relates to one grade of corrosion preventive compound for application as supplied by either airless or air assisted pressure feed spraying techniques to the structural members of airframes and to the interior surface of aircraft skins. It may be applied to bare metal, or over an existing paint system. It is also suitable for application by brush for touch up purposes to small areas, but the film produced by this method of application may be thinner and therefore less protective.
It is intended for application at temperatures above 10OC.
It is intended that the product film will be resistant to de-icing fluids and cleaning.fluids approved for Service use.
