scope:
PURPOSE. This instruction establishes the requirements for a uniform visual system for identifying/marking potential hazards, and provides an effective means of communicating hazard information to the employees, in order to reduce the likelihood of injury from potential hazards in the Marshall Space Flight Center (MSFC) work environment
This instruction defines the types of signs, tags, and barricades to be used in controlling exposure to potential hazards, and specifies requirements for design uniformity to promote employee recognition and avoidance of hazards.
APPLICABILITY. This instruction applies to all MSFC controlled facilities and operations.
