PURPOSE
This document establishes the requirements for a uniform visual system and an effective means of communicating information to the employee, so that injury related to potential hazards in the work environment at Marshall Space Flight Center (MSFC) can be avoided. It described the type of signs, tags, and barricades to use as a means of controlling exposure to potential hazards.
APPLICABILITY
The requirements set forth in this Directive apply to the control of potentially hazardous situations including MSFC facilities, system, equipment, and property. The instructions in this Directive apply to MSFC personnel and contractors involved in MSFC operations.
