This Standard specifies the requirements for the transportation, handling, storage and packaging of magnetically sensitive equipment.

Such equipment is used by all three Services in specialised areas. It includes: HUNT Class Mine Counter Measure Vessels (MCMV), SANDOWN Class Single Role Mine Hunter (SRMH), Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) and unique items, low magnetic equipments, assemblies, sub-assemblies and components held or laid apart.

NOTE : Most specifications in this area are concerned with the influence magnetic items (see BS 3Gl00) have on the mode of transport or other items carried. This Standard is concerned with protecting particularly susceptible items against undue magnetic influence.
