The standard describes specific robot characteristics which significantly affect robot performance, how they are to be specified and the test procedures used to measure the characteristics. These characteristics include e.g pose accuracy, stabilization time, path velocity and static compliance. The standard applies to all manipulating industrial robots as defined in ISO/TR 8873.
