PURPOSE

This Marshall Work Instruction (MWI) provides instructions pertaining to the implementation of equipment accountability and control at Marshall Space Flight Center (MSFC).

APPLICABILITY

The provisions of this MWI shall be applicable to all personnel who utilize Installation-provided property who are engaged in equipment accountability within MSFC, including onsite and near-site civil service and contractor personnel when contractually specified, or who are provided Government-Furnished Property. Onsite or near-site accountable contractors shall have separate procedures governing the control of Government property as specified in their contract and shall be required to comply with provisions of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR 45) and the NASA FAR Supplement (NFS Part 1845).
