scope:
This specification contains the requirements which, in combination with other applicable specifications, define the ground tests required for structural evaluation of fixed wing piloted airplanes. The types of testing include, but are not limited to:
a. Design development tests.
b. Pre-production component tests.
c. Static tests-complete airframe.
d. Fatigue tests-complete airframe.
e. Drop tests of structurally complete airframe.
f. Cabin pressure tests.
g. Leakage tests of integral fuel tanks.
h. Structural dynamic tests.
i. Proof tests for flight articles.
