This document contains minimum performance standards for airborne equipment to support Airborne Surveillance Applications. Requirements for five applications are specified in detail; these are Enhanced Visual Acquisition, Conflict Detection, Enhanced Visual Approach, Airport Surface Situational Awareness, and Final Approach and Runway Occupancy Awareness. Preliminary requirements are provided for three applications; these are Approach Spacing for Instrument Approaches, Independent Closely Spaced Parallel Runways, and Airborne Conflict Management. Section 1 contains background and introductory material, Section 2 contains system level requirements, and Section 3 contains subsystem requirements. There are 11 appendices including eight application appendices that describe the applications in detail, and explain the analysis that resulted in the requirements in the body of the document.
