The standard specifies a procedure for the determination of the resistance of paints, varnishes and related products to humid atmospheres containing sulphur dioxide. The test method allows for different amounts of sulphur dioxide; 0,2 l is generally recommended for testing coatings of thickness not exceeding about 40 my m.
