scope:

The requirements in this standard apply to all types of 60-hertz salient-pole synchronous generators and generator motors rated 5000 kVA (kilovolt amperes) and above to be used for hydraulic turbine or hydraulic pump turbine applications.

Definitions, characteristics, and test methods not specifically covered in this standard shall comply with the following documents insofar as they are applicable:
