The requirements of this standard apply to all types and ratings of 60-cycle salient pole synchronous generators and condensers larger than 1 ¼ kva (kilovolt-amperes).

All requirements and definitions, except as specifically covered in this standard, shall be in accordance with American Standard C50.10-1965.
