This specification defines the requirements for a system of two-pack, cold curing, low lead paints suitable for the protection of Service vehicles and equipment and providing a matt, heat- and petrol-resistant finish with specified infra-red reflectance, good outdoor durability and a high level of chemical resistance.
The paint system shall be suitable for use on vehicles and equipment that will be employed or stored under conditions entailing partial or intermittent immersion in water.
BSC 285 NATO Green finishing paint complying with the requirements of this specification will satisfy the requirements of DEF STAN 00-23.
