This standard specifies a method for determining the consistency of fresh concrete by means of the Vebe time. It is not applicable to concrete of which the maximum size of aggregate exceeds 63 mm. If the Vebe time is less than 5 s or more than 30 s, the concrete has a consistency for which the Vebe test is unsuitable.
