This European Telecommunication Standard (ETS), describes the requirements for air interface specification of the Electromagnetic compatibility and Radio spectrum Matters (ERM) Enhanced Radio MEssage System (ERMES). All aspects of the radio subsystem are defined including the transmission protocol, information format, channel coding and modulation characteristics. Operation of the radio subsystem and procedures on the air interface are defined and described.
