This Section of the Defence Standard defines the required electrical characteristics and methods of measurement for ground generating sets for use below 650 Volts.
It is the generic Standard for assessing electrical performance and may be called also for in whole or in part from other sections of the Defence Standard.
Excluded from the scope of this section are power supplies in H.M. Ships, power supplies for on-aircraft servicing and 28 Volt d.c. generators in military vehicles.
