This Section of the Defence Standard provides guidance on the following aspects of ground generating sets below 650 Volts for use by the Ministry of Defence;
Rating
Overload rating
Overcurrent rating
Phase sequence
Parallel operation
Steady state and transient characteristics in tabular form.
Note: In preparing a specification for the purposes of a contract, priorit of selection shall normally be given to the performance characteristics capable of meeting the NATO interoperable requirements. Use of the alternative Tables shall be with the agreement of the Equipment Sponsor and the Project Manager.
