This Defence Standard applies to battery operated lights, electric for Ministry of Defence use.
Ships, aircraft and vehicle lights (including those for bicycles) forming part of the normal statutory lighting system, and also general purpose lighting fittings for buildings and fixed installations, are outside the scope of this Standard.
