An appliance having a decorative flame which simulates a solid fuel fire, such as coal or wood, must also comply with the applicable construction provisions of the American National Standard/Canadian standards Association Standard for Vented Gas Fireplaces, ANSI Z21.50 * CSA 2.22. (See sections 1.2.17, 1.2.18, 1.2.19, 1.4, Evaluation for Combustion/Venting Side Sealing Materials, 1.5, Glass Fronts, 1.20.7, 1.20.8, 1.27.2.g, 1.27.3, 1.27.4 and 1.28.2.n.).
