This specification covers round bars or bolt-studs up to a maximum of 2 inches in diameter. Bars or bolt studs over 2-inch rounds for service up to 850ºF., may be purchased under this specification provided that the proof stress shall be 90,000 p.s.i. minimum; bars shall be turned to the required size, and magnetic tests will not be required.

Bars are intended for raw stock for the manufacture of bolt-studs for use at elevated temperatures up to 850° F.
