This specification covers the detail requirements for fixed output, monolithic silicon, positive voltage regulators. Two product assurance classes and a choice of case outlines and lead finishes are provided and are reflected in the complete Part or Identifying Number (PIN) (see 6.6).

The device types shall be as shown in the following:

Device type Circuit Case outline letter 01 Voltage regulator, +5 volts at 1.5 amperes (maximum) X or Y (see table I) 02 Voltage regulator, +5 volts at 0.5 ampere X 03 Voltage regulator, +12 volts at 0.5 ampere X 04 Voltage regulator, +15 volts at 0.5 ampere X 05 Voltage regulator, +24 volts at 0.5 ampere X 06 Voltage regulator, +5 volts at 1.0 ampere Y 07 Voltage regulator, +12 volts at 1.0 ampere Y 08 Voltage regulator, +15 volts at 1.0 ampere Y 09 Voltage regulator, +24 volts at 1.0 ampere Y

The device class shall be the product assurance level as defined in MIL-M-38510.

The case outlines shall be designated as follows:
