This Defence Standard specifies the requirements for two grades of oil intended for use as lubricants for highly-loaded aircraft gears, bushes and other mechanisms. The light grade is suitable over the temperature range minus 40 °C to plus 110 °C and the medium grade over the range minus 30 °C to plus 120 °C.
