PREFACE
This NATO Glossary of NBC Terms and Definitions has been prepared under the terms of STANAG 2367 (NBC). Its purpose is to standardise the NBC terminology used throughout the Alliance by those personnel who have special responsibilities for NBC defence. Those terms with a general military significance are also included in AAP-6, the NATO Glossary of Terms and Definitions.
This glossary is published in the two official languages of NATO; English and French.
All suggestions or questions regarding this glossary should be directed through national delegations to the NATO Standardization Agency, NBC Defence Operations Working Group.
