The synchro signal amplifier in its employment in the synchro transmission system of the gyrocompass or other self-synchronous control systems is used for one or more of the following applications:

(a) To permit the operation of increased synchro loads.

(b) To permit the operation of a 400-cycle synchro load from a 60-cycle synchro bus or vice versa.

(c) To permit the transmission of a modified synchro signal.

(d) To permit the operation of a synchro load independent of the input synchro excitation.

(e) To minimize reflected errors on the input synchro signal bus.

(f) To provide a smooth and accurate transmission of synchro signals.
