Purpose.
This instruction baselines current scheduling practices and establishes uniform requirements for scheduling work on naval vessels in Naval Shipyards. A Corporate Value Stream Analysis examining all project management processes has been initiated. It is anticipated that this instruction will be modified in the near future based on the result of these efforts.
