NOTE:

This guide specification covers asphaltic wearing course and various base courses for 907 metric tons 1000 tons or less of vehicular pavement. On approval of Southern Division, NAVFAC, guide may be used for a quantity greater than 907 metric tons 1000 tons. This Guide Specification shall not be used for flexible airfield pavement regardless of the quantity. On projects where the paved area (base and wearing course) is 2508 square meters 3,000 square yards or less, consideration should be given to specifying applicable sections of State Department of Transportation specifications for all items of work, such as subbase, base, tack, prime, and wearing course, in lieu of that specified herein.
