The General Services Administration has authorized the use of this commercial item description as a replacement for Federal Specification PPP-T-66, Type I, Classes 1 and 2, and Type II.
This commercial item description covers pressure-sensitive adhesive tape designed for sealing out moisture and sealing interior packaging. In addition to the above uses, Type I, Class 2 tape can also be used for color coding and identification and Type II tape can be used where marking or printing is required.
