scope:
This specification covers metal stuffing tubes for passing electrical cables through decks and bulkheads and entering enclosed equipment on Naval ships and packing assemblies for stuffing tubes.
Metal stuffing tubes and packing assemblies shall be types as specified (see 3.1 and 6.2).
The military part number shall consist of the letter "M", the basic number of the specification sheet, and an assigned dash number (see 3.1) as shown in the following example:
M 24235/1 -001 Military Specification Dash designator sheet number number
Sizes shall be as specified (see 3.1 and 6.2).
