This specification gives guidance in the selection of aluminium base materials for use with H.T.P. and lays down the methods of welding, cleaning and surface treatment which shall be used. The specification applies generally to all surfaces in an equipment which come into contact with H.T.P. liquid and its associated vapour up to the region in the equipment where decomposition becomes acceptable.
