Applicability.
This regulation applies to the Active Army, the Army National Guard of the United States, and the United States Army Reserve to include those Army National Guard and United States Army Reserve personnel in an Active Guard/Reserve status as well as applicants from other military services, cadets of the United States Military Academy, Reserve Officer Training Corps, and candidates attending the Branch Immaterial Officer Candidate Course.
Purpose
This regulation sets policies and procedures for selecting officers, cadets, and officer candidates for training leading to the award of an aeronautical rating of Army aviator.
