The aim of this agreement is to define the technical characteristics necessary for direct digital interoperability among military SHF satellite communications terminals. In addition, the aim is to define those parameters that provide for efficient use of satellite resources and which promote commonality among SATCOM earth terminal equipment which will provide for more effective interfacing among allied systems.
