This part of EN/ISO/IEC 7816 specifies a numbering system for application identifiers and a registration procedure for application provider identifiers. An application identifier (AID) is used to adress an application in the card. This part of EN ISO/IEC 7816 specifies the coding of application identifiers together with means and mechanisms for addressing application parts in in cards.
