This Standard specifies the requirements for steel wire reinforced synthetic rubber hose and hose assemblies fitted with end couplings used in hydraulic systems operating at temperatures ranging from -40°C to +l00°C. The system fluid is restricted to mineral based hydrocarbon oils. Three types of hose are specified as follows:
Type 1 Hose with one layer of wire braid reinforcement
Type 2 Hose with two layers of wire braid reinforcement
Type 3 Hose with four or more spiral wound wire reinforcement
