This specification covers solenoids for use in gun-firing mechanisms used by the Military Services (see 6.1).
Solenoids furnished are of the following classes, as specified on the applicable specification sheet (see 6.2).
Class 1 - Solenoids for cannons. Class 2 - Solenoids for machine guns.
