MODUK - DEF STAN 93-93

Carboxy Terminated Acrylonitrile/Butadiene Reactive Liquid Polymer Type 2, Type QX

inactive, Most Current
Organization: MODUK
Publication Date: 1 January 1994
Status: inactive
Page Count: 13
scope:

This INTERIM Defence Standard specifies requirements for a carboxy terminated acrylonitrilelbutadiene reactive liquid polymer for use, in conjunction with an epoxide resin, as an ingredient in high explosive compositions.

The designation 'Type QX' indicates that the material is suitable for certain applications where a high degree of compatibility with explosives is a requirement. However, compatibility with all explosives in all environments has not been established, and Design Authorities should seek advice on particular applications from the Head of Energetic Materials and Terminal Effects Department, Defence Research Agency, Fort Halstead, Sevenoaks, Kent, TN14 7BP.

Attention is drawn to Def Stan 13-102. Testing of Materials which are Required to be Compatible with Explosives.
