This specification defines the requirements for a finishing paint which, when used in conjunction with primer and undercoat complying with TS 10266, is suitable for use on the hull, above the waterline, and the superstructure of ships.
The complete system is required to have good adhesion, under water-soak conditions and good gloss and colour retention after two-years exposure in a temperate marine environment.
It may be applied by roller or brush.
